Okay, this is a deviantART themed pre-loader that you can use in all of you're flash files. will fit in with dA theme and looks cool wherever else you put your flash!

click 'Download to desktop' for the file :D

Detailed instructions are in the file but it is basically copy and paste :)
if you have any troubles just comment or note me and I can help :D

tested in:
flash mx (pro)
flash mx 2004 (pro)
flash 8 (pro)

if you are using another version of flash and it works let me know so I can add to the list :D

there is a movie clip in the library called 'PreLoader text' change this and you can have different text in you're pre-loader.

it's half to help people, and it's half to stop me from crying with my poopy connection when I download a big swf and have no idea when I'll be getting it... but I know I'm not the only person with a poop connection so I suppose its mostly helping people :D

The loader isn't smooth, mind if I rework it so it's smooth? You also might want to add a % or something.

Hmm this give me an idea.. I might post some of my own preloaders if I ever get to it. Thanks for the inspiration ;)

adding a percent is usually overkill... i find it that more & more people use anything they can just to show off that they can do it... minimalism has gone to the dogs...

Sweet, mine will probably include a glass filling up with water, possibly a milk churn into butter (like andy milonakis) , we'll see. Mostly dumb but cute things. Fuze to dynamite, possibly the doom health meter, ohh here's a good one: memento style polaroid picture fading backwards (or forwards.) I think you get my drift.

And yes I know yours is more professional, but it would be good to build some choices for newbies.

It really depends on what your going for, but I agree % can be overkill.

Heh why does your sig have a space in it not on an 8 bit boundary? I don't get it (yes I know what it says)
